PROCESS

BEYOND DESIGN. BEYOND FINISH.

The culmination of all thoughtful and intricate designs begins with a perfect finish. ELCOS offers a wide range of post-processing options that are delicately matched to your desired colors and materials. From metalizing that highlights your product, to inner/outer sprays that allows for diverse expressions, in-mold color that enhances the material’s characteristics, UV coating that provides various gloss finishes, and hot stamping/silk screening that emphasize brand identity, ELCOS’ extensive post-processing options help you transcend the limits of your imagination.

METALIZING

Metalizing, which enhances the appearance of products and adds a touch of luxury, is a staple post-processing technique that forms a chrome-like metallic layer for various applications. It involves heating metal materials in a vacuum chamber until they evaporate, with the evaporated metal condensing and bonding to the container. Once completed, a top coating is applied to protect the container.

INNER/OUTER SPRAY

It is a common method for creating custom designs and colors on containers, applicable to both glass and plastic without restrictions. The spray application allows for achieving desired effects, and unique appearances can be created through various color combinations, textures, and one-tone or two-tone gradients.

IN-MOLD COLOR

This is a manufacturing process that involves injecting a mixture of heated pigments and other materials into a mold. Since it is produced in the shape of the mold, there is no need for additional post-processing painting, making it optimized for mass production. Because the color is integrated into the material itself, it allows for a high level of finished product quality.

SILK SCREENING

Silk screening, one of the traditional printing techniques, is cost-effective and capable of printing on curved surfaces, making it widely used for many containers. A separate screen is required for each color, and the texture of the printed graphics can be felt on the surface of the container.

UV COATING

This is a post-processing option that enhances the attractiveness of products. With frost coatings that create appealing packaging on their own, and shiny coatings that add a touch of brilliance, various colors and textures can be incorporated to increase design flexibility.

HOT/FOIL STAMPING

This processing method combines heat and pressure to apply colored foil to the surface. It creates a shiny and luxurious appearance for cosmetic tubes, bottles, containers, and other finishes, with gold and silver being the primary colors used. Opaque colors and a brushed aluminum (hairline) effect are also possible, making it suitable for unique designs.

OFFSET PRINTING

This method uses printing plates to transfer images onto containers, resulting in excellent clarity and resolution. It ensures consistent print quality during mass production and is primarily applied to tube products. This technique is more sophisticated than silk screening and is particularly effective for halftone artwork.

EMBOSSING & DEBOSSING

Embossing creates raised images, while debossing produces recessed images. These two techniques are primarily used to give a three-dimensional effect to a brand’s BI / CI  or product name. They are luxurious processing methods that satisfy both visual and tactile sensations.
